Electric igniters

Traditional initiation systems – ERGODET and NITRODET electric igniters:

– intended for initiating explosives in various application conditions, i.e. in underground and open-pit mining plants and for construction and engineering works,

– have a precise and wide range of delays, enabling advanced blasting operations,

– offered in various security classes,

– can be used in environments with a risk of methane and/or coal dust explosion – ERGODET M or ERGODET W (depending on the type of risk). Their safety is regularly tested by independent research institutions.

Selecting the right detonators is a key element of all blasting operations. In ERGODET and NITRODET electric detonators, the size and composition of the secondary charge are optimized for a high degree of safety and reliable explosive initiation. Properly selected detonators ensure appropriate fragmentation and dispersion of the mined material, while also reducing paraseismic vibrations, noise levels, and rock fragmentation.

In addition to standard electric detonators, NITROERG SA also offers enhanced electric detonators (EIDs) with a higher initiation capability, which can be used specifically to initiate emulsion explosives, both cartridged and bulk, including those mechanically loaded into blast holes in non-coal and non-methane mines. Enhanced electric detonators are an ideal alternative to detonator-booster systems used to initiate emulsion explosives.
